reply to gthbf (part 2). 'debate' are the scientists paid by the oil companies to say climate change is fake. Oh, and i know this great group that comes up with all sorts of "facts" that you would enjoy, it is called the flat earth society.

reply to gthbf (part 1). by the way gthbf, the advocacy of global warming doesn't make the anti-warming side money. Look at any anti-global warming foundation (that i can think of) and you will find they are non profit. This means that they put all the money they work to fund raise into bringing in more money, spreading the message, or doing something about it. The only side that makes money off the

Well this is your opinion. You did not answer my questions. All you can say its its ludicrous and make out its a social thing.
Did you state why the Martian ice caps are melting? No....Did you state why the other plants are warming?...No
You can indulge this fantasy if you like. The desired outcome is you take a cut (one of many to come) in freedom, and pay more taxes (one of many to come).......you deserve these things,
Global warming denial? You talk like its some kind of religion.
Ok if it is manmade as you suggest then why are the other planets in the solar system warming as? Why are the ice caps on Mars melting? Is Human activity to blame for that too?
The sun is causing it. Sun spots determine how warm or cold the climate is. There are many scientists who will testify to that.
The whole thing is a scam to make money and further tax people. Its not even a very good scam.

The scientists who attest to your denial of human caused climate change are just like those "scientists" who helped tobacco companies 30 years ago by telling people cigarettes aren't deadly. It's completely ludicrous for anyone to deny the causes and effects of climate change on our planet. If it makes you feel better about yourself though, go ahead, stick to your thinking and I imagine our environment will prove one of us wrong within our lifetimes.

Chung bit of advice for you.......before you get so worked up about an issue maybe you should take the time to learn something about it first.
Global Warming and cooling is caused by the sun and is perfectly natural. It has absolutely nothing to do with carbon emissions. The other planets in our solar system are also warming. You need to know what your talking about before ranting otherwise you are just a useful idiot for people wanting to make money.
Money always speaks louder than the truth

Perhaps you are the one that needs to learn more about climate change. The warming of our planet is natural but the DRASTIC changes in the climate over the past 50 years is NOT natural. This drastic change is due to HUMAN activity in the form of greenhouse gas emissions. Take a look at any reputable scientific document about the issue and this is what you'll find.

You may not agree with my views on carbon offsetting but please do not be so ignorant as to deny the truth of climate change. You are correct in saying that money always speaks louder than the truth and it seems that you've been listening to those idiotic global warming denial lobbyists with millions invested in the fossil fuel industry. Gthbf, I would like to mirror your advice that you so kindly gave to me:
Take the time to learn something first.

Why do you blame the Conservatives for not worrying about the invironment.
Under the Liberals, for 12 years Canada was ranked the worst of the G-8.
OMG . . . CONSERVATIVES DID NOTHING THIS YEAR . . . in the meantime the Liberals had 12 years of doing nothing about the environment.

The point is not whether the Liberals or the Conservatives were better at dealing with the environment. I realize your point is valid. For the last several decades, our government has done next to nothing to deal with an issue that is extremely important and relevant to all Canadians. I just find it extremely disappointing that amidst a huge international push to seriously reduce GHG emissions around the world, we are currently the one G8 country that has no plan or timeline to do this.
