Alkaline Trio - This Addiction Cover. This is my first shot at learning the new AK3 single, This Addiction that will be in the upcoming album. I learned it by ear and it has only been out a few days so I am sure there are a few errors, but I think it is pretty close. Comments / corrections welcome. If interested, I have developed a patch for the Digitech RP 250 effects processor to simulate Matt's sound. It is almost dead on on certain songs, including Continental, Mercy Me, etc.

i like this cover but to be honest i dont like the guitar.... i'm not a fan of the PRS SE.

I got the PRS as a lighter alternative for my other guitar (EPI Les Paul) trying to still get the "heavy" sound without the weight. I like it but I can see why some others who like the heavy sound may not like it.

you've pretty much got it, you're just staying on some chords for a lil too long. try to work on muting the strings you're not wanting to play so you don't get tired doing all those repetetive downstrokes :)

He switches amps quite often, every time I've seen them live he's got a different amp setup, but he still sounds like Skiba. His basic dirty sound doesn't change. 1 patch will cover most of their songs, they don't use a lot of effects.

@djsranger i think they overdid the inlays on that one. i just don't understand why Paul Reed Smith doesn't put the normal bird inlays.
