dude i tell ya that day was CRAZY! i lived on 1st st and i worked @walmart.. just getting there was a journey man.. trees n the middle of the road.. literally.. barely c out my car windows.. got 2 work and it shuts down.. had all these customers inside waiting til it calmed down so they can leave.. it was CRAZY! NEVER EVER SEEN ONE LIKE IT B4
I'll tell you one thing, I will never forget this wind event. I've lived in So Cal for 17 years and that santa ana event was the fierceist I've ever been in. My house kept getting slammed with very strong gusts that sunday night, I thought my windows were going to shatter. We did sustain damage where I live which was at the coast. On Laguna Peak, a 1,400 foot mountain near where I live got a wind gust of 111 MPH that evening.
This was a crazy wind storm. I was there that night visiting my friend in SJ and I was lucky I got home ok. There was debris flying all over the roads that you had to dodge and signle lights were out every where. My friend who lives there suffered major damage to her house as did many other people in her neighborhood. Here is her video.
