Crowfans com has a chat where Bryce Zabel explains: "the decision was made that the Crow was not a disguise (as in the movie) but a condition".

Mark Dacascos did more than justice to this character. The music (Garbage Sleep Together here) is a great part of appeal of the series, not to mention the electrifying presence of its protagonist.
