The Giant Match

A spectacle of colour, music and art is on display with a parade of 32 giant puppets. Each with their own character and personality the figures tell the story of Romeo and Juliet, but with an African twist. A street theatre piece which sees the collaboration between the Wits school of fine art and the French Institute of South Africa, The Giant Match is a feast for the eyes and generates a big smile on audiencewherever it is seen. A real festival and World Cup highlight.
