This beautifully restored rust-free original California Edsel has been owned for 20 years by Steve Edwards of Lakewood Ranch, FL. It is fully equipped with Edsel's E475 engine, electric push-button Teletouch 3-speed automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, power windows and power seat, town and country signal-seeking radio, and padded dash. The car has undergone extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration, and is a multi-award trophy winner. Look for it at various Southwest Florida collector car shows .

  • get rid of the vagina grill and its pretty good. Although i gues it wouldent be an Edsel. But im 12 what do i know. I like the 60 coarsair convertible better.

  • There never was a 1960 Edsel "Corsair" convertible. Only a 60 "Ranger".

  • Car was named after Henry Ford's only son. He died at 43 years old, (before Henry's death ), probably from ulcers given to him by Henry.

  • Roy Brown of Ford Styling's "baby." He led the styling effort but the Edsel was too much like a Ford or Mercury to be unique.

  • Ford DID plan on selling a 1960 Corsair, but at the last minute changed its mind and offered the upgraded interior originally stated for this model, as a Ranger upgrade. There are extant pictures of a proposed 1960 Corsair, it was a classy looking car, but it never made it to production.

  • J'en connais une la seule en europe et elle est à coté de chez moi

  • Fantastic. Thanks for sharing. Had a '58 Edsel myself untill recently.....

  • yourpalsteve knows where the name came from. he was being facetious. he has (or had) a large building filled with them in various states of repair or disrepair.

  • I always thought it was called Pretzel ... so it's Edsel??? I wonder where they got that name?
