"Palestinians": People who lived in tha territory that was called: 'Palestine' but not only Arabs were called Palestinians. My grand parents and my parents were also called Palestinians since they lived in this territory at that time, and they were JEWISH.

As for your sarcastic question: "then who built the houses and roads??"... What houses and what roads? There were only few houses and few roads from the Roman and Crusaders periods before the Jews built the state of Israel.

Conclusion: the Palestinians cannot claim any descent from the ancient Canaanites - if so, why not to pretend also the Syrian "occupied territories", namely, Lebanon? Why do they not speak the language of the ancient Canaanites, that was Hebrew? Because they are NOT Canaanites at all! It must really suck being you.

the only people that can trace back a lineage to the ancient Canaanites are the Jews, not the Palestinians, as Canaanites did not exist any longer after the 8th century b.c.e. and they were not annihilated but assimilated into the Jewish people.
