@KIFQHESE We didn't a great example of a Alcohol stove but the are a very valid method of cooking. Very popular with the ultra light crowd. Can be tricky in the wind. I have used the homemade style before. Thanks for watching -The Crew from the shack
@5ghostshadow Its not an exact science. Both elevation and temperature act on the pressure. I've gotten them lit at 0 degrees f at 3000 ft but had the fail at 10 degrees at 8000ft. When in doubt use white gas such as the whisperlite. Keeping the cansiter in your sleeping bag helps and jetboil seems to work a little better. All water needs to be run through a pre-filter. Try a disposable coffee filter.
