Nice Build!

i wonder how this would work for a cob house. I was thinking if you would heat up a mass area like they do with a wood burning stove, the heat would last through the night. Not sure if running some tubing throughout the cob would work or not.

What has the coldest days temp been and how did it perform. What about overcast days? How about snow fall, how bad does this affect its performance? Thanks

regarding that mean aluminum cans scratching you put them in their soaked I didn't have room to flex aluminum expands quite a bit.... just f y I

Josh good use for old soda cans, Nice looking collectors. I am more into solar hot water, but the pumps and the storage and the control systems get a little more complicated, If you would like to put an article together about your hot air collector I would be happy to publish it. Thank you for this video,
John

Great job! I'm searching around youtube and everywhere for a at least a rough sketch of the design of the whole panel, including insulating the inside, can cuts(some had flanges on one end to circulate the air flow, not sure what you did), etc. Not sure if you had one or could put one together in short time and share =]

what is the height and width measurements? Plus how much saving on your electric bill.

The heat stretch the cans so if they are tight in the box, that is what happens.. :)

Thanks for the video. One question. Are you running air through the pop cans or are they in there to heat the panel? Thanks for your time.

A few things,oh and great job. Your panel looks too horizontal. In deep winter the sun is lower in the sky (here in Canada even lower then where U R) and they recommend vertical panes. Also if you moved your panel to the left away from the window you would get sunlight. Also putting it more vertical , your input air length would be shorter :less heat loss.
I just built one of these for my son's chicken house just to see how it worked ,but I just bought a fan called equalizer that kicks on when it feels the heat . But I will be building one next for my house want to use the thermal switch what temperature did you purchase they have different ones. Thanks for your time and posting your great video!!

I don't remember what the C is but the F was 125" F. I chose the lowest i could find. I just used a thermal switch on my wood burning stove to power a fan and force air into my office from my garage via some duct work. I now heat a 1000 sq foot room with no dust or ash to clean up. its great!
