  • i need someones help please..i bought my pleco the waffer chisp and he doesnt eat them i have two an albina and i guess jsut a regular brown spotted one...i dont know what to feed them to make them eat besides them sucking the tank walls...and i would like to grow them big fast cana nyone help me?write me plz

  • I wouldn't worry too much over the wafers, he'll be getting what he needs from any algae in the aquarium plus any left over food he'll have. He will have them eventually. Other than the wafers, if your looking for him to get big, try boiled broccoli and cucumber, but take the broccoli out when he's had his fill. Frequent water changes and overfiltering will also help.

  • Omg that has got to be a 300 quid pleco right there i saw one so tiny about as big as the average guppies it was £30 lol

  • He's a common plec, so he's not as much as some of them. My LFS had a green spotted one, not sure of the name, he was about 6" going for £90. So i'm not too sure what he's worth...but he's going nowhere anyway!! However, he had a 2" plec going for £50!!!

  • well wen i sed that they will compleatly regulate there growth i ment that they will still grow to there full potential but the rate of growth is greatly slowed and alot of the time the fish will pass away befor it is possable for it to reach its full size =) xx

  • @bibbling9000

i was told that a fish or any kind regulating is size according to the size of a fish tank is a common misconception

and that a pleco or any fish will grow normal no matter the tank and also that knowing this you should prepare to have the right size tank

  • well it wont realy make that much diffrenc because u ill find that the pleck will regulate its growth rate so that it can grow to a comfortable size in the tank and it will take the fact that there is two in the tank into account =) xx

  • @bibbling9000 even in a 4ft tank such as mine, is it such a good idea to get 2 plecos knowing they get up to 12 inches or more>?

  • why would you put a Pleco in with paranas ?

  • That fish is now minee hehe

  • don't worry any way as long as ther is enufe food avaleble he will eat when he wonts i have had that problem and that is wat i did and now i have a 14'' pleco

  • dude mine is 2.3 feet long
