@djteac I probably know a LOT more about lasers than you do. Helium Neon lasers are large, inefficient, and not very powerful. Their main use was in laser scanners a long time ago. Now they are outdated, and have been almost entirely replaced by diode lasers except for the occasional science fair project.

@TheNuclearWatermelon than you don't know much about lasers, and for what they are used, i guess, right?
-
@DarkStare100 point of this is entertainment.
-
can i eat that??
-
bed lamp!
-
@fdemoulins he means that since diode lasers have come along, there is no longer a need for large, inneficient HeNe lasers (except winning a science fair or two)
-
The point of HeNe lasers is to have very good beam quality and steady output right?
-
mW = milliwatt ? vs MW = megawatt ?
-
man i love HeNe lasers, the color, the plasma, and how the beam is formed, its magic!
can it burn stuff like my 300mw red laser??

No, it can´t burn anything... 7,2mW can´t burn.
