The name of the film is Anthony - The Warrior of God. St. Anthony belonged to a the richest nobility of Portugal. He became a sailor in Merchant Navy. But later he left all his wealth and service even his parents for God and became monk of Augustinian Order because of their unholy behavior, he decided to go to Assisi and meet St. Francis. He then become a Franciscan. He is greatly honored by the Crusaders (Knight Templars) as well. His tongue is still intact till 2010 and it is incorruptible.
Watched this movie with interest but it did not I think quite capture Saint Anthony's personality nor the high position he held in the Church at the time as a Preacher and leader,In fact this film made him seem a little too sickly I think they were playing His character down a bit.Still not easy to capture the mystical qualities of a saint on camera with everyday actors I suppose.Found Padua of that time to be depressing and the people deplorable. The rat stew was the pits.Did they have to?

@bluewren2 Brother you can comment but this movie actually not made on St. Anthony but on the witnesses of a THIEF who was converted by St. Anthony. So whatever the thief wrote in his diary it was as it is shown in the film....
