I'm not sure how to categorize this; I'd say it's a mix of every companion's relationship with their version of the Doctor, the Doctor looking back on those relationships and also looking to the future.
I realized I'd never used any End of Time footage, so I needed to get that in there for the dramatic interlude :) That bit is meant to show how the Doctor's future has been starting so slow because he's been preventing it from going any faster because he's afraid. That scene is just so heartbreaking and epic in its climactic ways that I couldn't resist using it!
The last quoted scene is a take on the Doctor's future staring slow, but also how Rose's future has been starting slow up to the point she'll meet the 9th Doctor. But it's also a wish for all of you: have a great year, regardless of the fact that it's almost half-gone! Make the best of your time here and enjoy your summer (if that is your season right now) while you can.
