  • Why do you dyno in such a low gear? Is it so the observers think the car is more powerful than it really is. =P

  • As you can tell from the video, the car was dynoed in 4th gear, which is the smallest gear ratio greater than or equal to 1 on the Honda Civic SI.

This is to give observers the most accurate power measurement.

Any ratio under 1 (overdrive) would reduce the power.

  • you don't even realize how clueless you are... I have writeen books on this, Not to mention Years and YEArs of testing... You show my a 5,000lb truck, do a 10 second pass with 400hp at the crank and ill show you a driver who is lying to you

  • your getting schooled by the professor haha now that is funny!

  • @ajperformancecom could you please give me some information (prices) on a decent turbo kit for my 2010 si?? thank you thank you

  • yea, not gonna happen my dood

  • fine its kool if udont belive me no shirt

off my back but there are if u go and look

    u will find...

  • 400 hp is the amount of energy the car in putting into the vehicle. The car or truck will only BE faster with more inp0ut energy. 1200lb of tq, is what the 400hp used to make 400.... its not 400hp and 400 is weaker than that 400 cuase of this or that... 400 is an amount of energy. There are 2 options in this situation. Either math/physics engineering etc, is wrong. or your conception of power is a bit off.... which do you think it is?

  • lol ok w.e u say professor guess those diesal trucks that weigh over 5,000pounds and have 400hp and 1200ft/tq that do a quarter mile in 10sec dont exist unless ur gonna tell me 400hp alone is gonna push a truck weighing as much as 2-3 civics down a quarter mile in 10 sec ok i guess ur right than LMAO epic fail by ur part!!!

  • hp is energy. higher hp means more energy can be used to move the car. TQ is not a unit of power nor does it deal with time. if you think increasing tq without increasing hp is effective, your wrong. Hp is the only thing you should be concerned with. the whole no tq argument is 100% retarded and bullshit. power moves things. hense hp/weight ratio's. tq/wt ratio's couldnt exist. crank tq give NO indication of powre output...

  • it doesnt matter which gear your in. all gearing does is change the tq output at the wheel or change wtq hp is rated as tq@velocity. so the hp output would stay the same, but more tq@ a lower rpm is not more power... its kind of tricky but you cant get more hp by downshifting... its all mathematically the same....
