The University of Utah Singers performs "Stars I Shall Find" by David Dickau at the International Rotary closing plenary session June 20, 2007 in Salt Lake City, UT under the direction of Dr. Brady Allred.
@Barneyplays227 I also sang this for my county honor choir. It was spine tingling when everyone grasped the true meaning behind Sarah Teasdale's words. We all sang this piece with tear-jerking passion and beauty. I will never forget my experience in that choir.
Wow... This takes me back to All-State of 2008.... It is good to see Dr. Brady Allred is still conducting. Oh and my choir director is in the University Singers!
I must be the only person who thinks this is a very awkwardly written piece of music. Difficult to interpret, and difficult to perform, and difficult to enjoy as an audience member except as something that has moments of beauty but is ultimately incoherent.
Regarding the balance seems to be off with this performance; as though the sopranos and altos were forgotten by the conductor because his men have the ability to sing in pitch. There certainly are well done moments though.
Outstanding!

I sang this song for the SCVA high school honor choir and it is such a moving piece. Probably one of the greatest choir experiences I've ever had. :)
