Snow Leopard Installation on PC-Asus P5B mobo

This is a guide on how to install Snow Leopard from a Retail DVD on a PC with Asus P5B mobo using another Hard Drive as your installation medium. You are going to need a compatible video card though for the Open CL and QE to work fine. So go to this web page : http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.6.0 and find which cards are compatible. There are much more NVIDIA cards that are supported by Studio EFI than ATI.
The whole preparation process must be done through an already installed Mac OsX Leopard or Snow Leopard.

Great guide. One problem I came accross though (using Asus P5b Deluxe also). Once i installed the bootloader after installation. I chose the correct kexts and my ethernet would no longer detect a cable. The ethernet is recognised in devices but does not detect cable?

Before "myHack" installation, your ethernet worked properly?Try to reinstall the bootloader with the same kexts and let me know.I'll do a little research and i will reply to you soon.How much memory do you have?

I can't get sleep to work as it should. Everything else works fine.

Asus P5GC MX 1333

Graphics Card GMA950

HDD IDE

CPU 2.5 G intel 945

What settings are needed in the BIOS for this install?

Will it work on IDE HDD?

Easy and fast guide. Install on Asus P5B deluxe and Gefore 7600 GS. No problems, worked perfect. Did a stand alone update of 1`0.6.2 and removed the sleepenabler.kext booted no panic, You are the man. Dual boot w/Windows 7.
