James Kalm documents the installation of the seventh annual "Peace" exhibition. Begun as a Christmas show with a few dozen Williamsburg artists, this renowned show has taken on a life of its own, and is perhaps the largest yearly open-call exhibition in New York City. This two part program attempts to present a small but vital portion of the Williamsburg scene with over forty-five cameo appearances by the participants including James Beiderman Bill Jensen Larry Poons Ed Ruda et. al.

This exhibit is a great cross-section, or should I say introduction, to the community, I would suspect that it fairly accounts many of the ideas and problems that concern the art world... but it is a lot to cover in twenty minutes, great coverage, James, thank you.

I did so want to hear more about our permanent state of war. The challenge became to spot literary skill on canvas. The guess is twin totems at 9:11. Looks fun, but you would choose this over a stock show with monster trucks? Very much appreciated.
