Funny - I grew up listening to these guys back in the late 70's/early 80's. They were my favorite band and I never understood (still don't) why they never hit it big... Great music, great band. Miss them - RIP Bruce. i wish I was back in Minneapolis - great town.

Bruce Allen: Naturally cool.

Really bummed to hear the news. My favorite rock guy.
Thanks Bruce!
Wish I was in MN, tonight.

RIP Bruce...may you rest in heaven, at home with all the people who will join you one day, the same ones you entertained so magnificently over the past 30 years..

I was at the Cabooze when they were filming this so many years ago. One of my favorite Suburbs songs. Reminds me of my old boyfriend Brent and reaching in the puck-rock grab bag for a mystery tape to play in the car cassette player.

Thank you !!
Some friend of mine introduced them in a casette-collection then and they were just fine !! Huskers were favorites for some other friends, fantastic musicians but some hard for me ...
I don't know the line-up of Suburbs,if you want tell me and also whose composition is "Girfriend" ?
I thought it was a sax in the lp version ...

Nice song !!
Were are they now ??

Long gone. Chan Poling heads The New Standards - they do lounge covers of pop favorites - very good covers. Beej has a record label called "Beejtar" and Bruce Allen is a very talented artist in Minneapolis. I don't know what the other guys are doing. Minneapolis ain't what it used to be, but the tunes from the era when it was cool (the 80's) lives on. The Replacements, the 'Burbs and Husker Du are alive and well on iTunes and CD. Check it out!
