Oh to be young again! ;)

Terry Rae plays drums on this one.

Don Grady was a member of the group right after they formed. Then of course he went to My Three Sons, and was in The Greefs while doing the show.

Emitt Rhodes was the drummer for the Palace Guard before starting The Merry Go Round and switching to lead singer, guitar and main songwriter. I think the band had 2 or 3 brothers that came from Montreal Canada that moved down to California.

I believe that Emitt Rhodes, who had a small amount of solo success in the early 1970s, was in this group. He was also in a group called the Merry-Go-Round, who had some minor hits around 1967. I had never heard this song before. I have heard a song by this group called "Like Falling [or Fallen] Sugar". I never heard or heard OF either the Palace Guard or Merry-Go-Round until the late 1980s.
You are right, Emmitt Rhodes was with the Palace Guard. I found a copy of "Like Falling Sugar" back in the 80's on Orange Empire records, it's also on several comps. Since I lived in Southern California in the late 60's I heard the Merry Go Round on the radio when they were popular. Great group!
