  • Who said that one at the end? "When you shook his hand..... and left his little country in marvelous sape". Who said that?

  • @Coolguy12346789

to tell you the truth i'm not sure it was a random quote from the internet about Mr Smith and i realy liked it ... sorry about that

  • US-er here still learning about Rhodesia. I don't even know where to start and now can not since it is all over. I can only learn from the facts from the fall of Rhodesia, but from what I have learned his song makes me tear up.

  • @Drunkgrenadier

its the same for me i dont come from a Rhodie family but i had friends that did ( sadly they have both passed on) but they came from my town and moved to Bulawayo to start a farm. the worst thing after "Bob" came to power and their farm being sold they had to leave the Highland cattle that they had raised and brought over from my home area! they lived through attacks and ambushes to come home with only £50!

  • The Blacks never had it so good, and they know it. Independence was their downfall. Europeans brought the prosperity and the jobs. Black men couldn't run a piss up in a brewery, what brains they have hang between their legs.

  • Morgan Tsvangirai said that if Ian Smith had only been black, he'd've been the greatest leader in Zimbabwean (Rhodesian) history. Proper vid, thank you for posting it.

You're absoultely right about the treason by South Africa. Do you know that Rhodesia legalized interracial marriages before America did it. And unlike South Africa with its high walls and segregated military units, Rhodesians walked together in the streets and marched and fought together in the army. In this video I see black drill sargents slapping white recruits around an nobody concerned about race. I think the Americans and South Africans were jealous.

  • @Nefus1988

I always truly used to believe what we were taught in school here in America about Apartheid being evil and I truly hated racism. I even saw Mugabe's actions in the 1990's as 'justified' to correct the wrongs of white imperialism. But now I have really seen the truth. The more I learn about Mugarbage, Mbeki, Dr. Beetroot, and all the other crazy blacks, the more I become the one thing I never thought I could be, a racist. Blacks benefited from whites keeping order.

  • I read an article on patriot(dot)nu that Rhodesia got all they needed from South Africa but everything went bad when South African president started to boycott Rhodesia in order to appear more politically correct. I think both South Africa and Rhodesia should have gotten rid of all the niggers. Imagine if entire lower part of Africa where white, no negroes. That would be like heaven.

  • @tate101able

But they WEREN'T fighting for independence. They were fighting for communist rule by either a Chinese-(Mugabe) or Soviet- (Nkomo) backed party. Rhodesia was already independent.

  • @voiceoftruth2006 thats a lie , so why were they fighting for independence ?

  • @tate101able

    All of them.

  • @voiceoftruth2006 how many blacks were actually allowed to own property ?

  • What a beautiful song. Who is it singing? My brother died 11.10.76 fighting for the RLI, youngest soldier to die in the war. RIP RJ

  • ...and what did Mugabe bring...Cholera!

(of course, he also made every Zimbabwean a billionaire!)

  • I dont see things improving under bob mugumbe hes had 30 years in power and look at the state the country in now
