If you wanted to hear Class 37s having the nuts thrashed off their rocker boxes then if you ventured into deepest Cornwall, I mean darkest deepest Cornwall you were guaranteed to find a mad Cornishman at the helm of a growler or two, my handsome.
37670 powers through Par amidst signals and signal boxes with a Parkendillack to Carne Point clay working on 7th October 1993.
Next we see 37672 hammering up the Luxulyan Valley heading for Goonbarrow and then the same loco at Goonbarrow returning back to Carne point 7/10/93.
Finally this gem of a shot shows 37670 storming through Liskeard with additional Silver Buillets heading for Exeter passing 37412 which is just starting the last leg of its journey to Carne Point from Goonbarrow.22/9/93

  • Such great sounds so sad that they are getting way too rare these days. Great vids thanks so much Jez

  • @jez952 Glad you liked it Jez

  • Bloody fantastic thrashtic vid mate.

Par now only sees the odd shed nowadays.

God it's no wonder people gave up the hobby in their hundreds when the decent motive power went.

To turn back the clock eh!

  • @560928 Cheers bud, thanks for taking a look, I echo your sentiments and I fear at some point in the future the hobby will cease to exist.

Long may this generation keep it alive.

  • This is the 3rd vid of yours I have viewed, you say you are quite new to youtube and I say welcome, welcome !! Brilliant 37 footage, love it !

  • @dieselmanmike Hi Mike, thanks for checking out my stuff, glad you like it. Cheers Eddie

  • @MrStapletonRoad It's surprising that the new generation finds something new to get interested in. To most of us, 66s aren't terribly exciting (I'm not going into that...), but if you grow up with them then I suppose it's a whole new ball game. What my generation likes now will seem odd to the next generation, and so on.

I'd love to go to the 80s, which I never sampled the railways of, so videos like this are worth their weight in gold. Thanks for uploading, I very much enjoyed it!

  • Quality thrashage, Eddie!!

  • Excellent shooting of the video, I really enjoyed that.

  • MUST be a spare driver who got caught for the job! AND WAS TOLD ITS JOB AND FINISH!

  • I know I just posted a comment in reply to another one, but just wanted to re-iterate how much I love your videos! YouTube needs more classic railway videos, so yours will forever be welcome I reckon!

  • That's the coolest loco horn i've ever heard at 0:31 !
