  • @paperorpaper Me too! :)

  • Hi all, just trying to spread the word about a new community site we're putting together based around our planet - earth-forums (dot) com. We'd love for you to take a look :)

  • Please make sure that you understand that a career in the geosciences practically requires a graduate degree. A BS is not sufficient for most jobs except for entry level environmental consulting mudlogging. It is always made rosy that you will be out climbing mountains, spelunking, and enjoying the outdoors. Field work usually doesn't make up a significant portion of your work, but of course it does have its benefits. But still keep in mind that you must have a masters degree, minimum.

  • I would advise geology unless you want to become a high school teacher. Especially in the sciences, it is important to specialize and become an expert in a very narrow area if you want to be employable. You will actually have to decide an even narrower subdiscipline like hydrology, geophysics, stratigraphy, etc.

  • I agree with nameusedup! This is my career! :)

  • I Can't decided whether to major in geoscience or geology specigically
