Thomas Leslie ("Les") Gray was born on the 9th of April 1946 in Carshalton, Surrey and was best known for his work with the band Mud. He died on February 21, 2004, following a heart attack in Lagos, Portugal whilst fighting throat cancer.

I do believe that's Les and Syd's mate Binky on bass. Shows what a great bunch of blokes Mud were, and what a game for a laugh Binky was...they've got him up to mime for a laugh, he can't play a feckin note! Love it xxx

Guy I used to work with years ago, played in a band that warmed up for Mud at some gigs. He reckoned they were a great bunch of guys.
RIP those who are no longer with us - and thanks for the great memories!
