"a" versus "an" boils down to vowel sounds, not vowels them self.

You would say "a union" and not "an union" because union starts with a "yu" sound, which is consonant.

Likewise, you say "an hour" because hour starts with an "ow" type sound.

In America, H is "ay-ch" while some places it's "hay-ch" (just like the difference between "Zee" and "Zed" so "an" would be correct for Americans, while "a" would be for those other places. It's all about how it's pronounced.

Other factors need to be considered. If he's going Hellion + Thor I'd say Roach or magic boxing mutas would be the way to go (maybe even 'festors for fungal + neural?). No Hellions? Zerglings do great against Thors, certainly.
