lets say theres a crash and you want to open the side so that everyone can slide down ok?
what happens if theres a tree on the pavement side or a truck on the road side?
besides that (and the fact that it will be very complicated to drive under this bus while on a turn) its AWESOME!!!!

This idea has pluses and minuses like any idea. The question is whether the strengths outweigh the drawbacks. In the US, we accept horrible drawbacks of traffic congestion, crashes (autos, buses), pedestrian deaths (light rail, buses), and huge expense (light rail, heavy rail).
