National Equality March

On October 11, 2009 a National Equality March was held in Washington, DC by members of the LGBT community, friends and family to bring attention to the inequality and hate that is part of their everyday life. This video is of the march and motherly words from Judy Shepard, mother of the late Matthew Shepard, who died as a victim of hate. This is dedicated to all the attendees.

what is really sick is that there was next to no news coverage of the march.. I think Cspan was the only station that had live coverage ..HLN had clips but that was allI saw.. they had lots of coverage for those right wing nut cases that marched and they didn't have that many people..

Even though it was alot of fun, I cant believe it takes so much hoopla to get a democracy to protect a minoritys rights OUtta ConTrOL AMERICA! I think its just a plot to sell flags and plan tickets to DC and help the economy ;) oh well whatever works!

I'm not so hot on the HRC - but God Bless Judy Shepard... It's funny, when you look at these photos (and the thousands of others on Flickr and Facebook) there is no doubt that we had more than 8 times as many protesters as the "teabaggers" but who's counting, right?
