Gianni Ferrio: La isla misteriosa

I used to be very moved by this "soundtrack" theme back in my childhood around 1973 watching TV adaptation of a famous novel of Jules Verne. This is my own arrangement by ear.

Nice, but he plays it wrong. In D major, the melody goes like C-sharp, D, A(down), C-sharp, F(!!!), F-sharp, G-sharp, A, E(down)... and so on (G-major modification). In this video he plays D instead of F (before F-sharp), and so the melody is ripped of one very, very beautiful characteristic.

@Armitaag I appreciate very much your detailed analysis of my arrangement. I had no original recording for decades until I found it on Internet. I noticed something was not so right with my version but I was not trying to figure it out yet. Yes I started to miss that "very beautiful characteristic" but I was musical puzzle for me I was not able to grasp instantly. Thank you!
