I have the same problem herniated disc, plus some other stuff that comes along with lifting it sucks... I agree with him alternative medicines are the way/therapies ect.

I had a piece of herniated disc removed, most pain I have ever felt. The cause was repeated kicking of heavy bag, about 100 kicks/day. Totally immobilized when the nerve becomes impinged.
A nurse once told me that her herniated disc was more pain than childs birth.
