Protest at Belfast Laganside Courts in support of Raytheon9, 27th May 2008.
The trial of the Derry Anti War activists, who took part in an action against the worlds largest missile manufacturer, Raytheon Systems, began on 20th May 2008. These activists, the Raytheon9, claim that they took direct action against Raytheon, to stop the manufacture of weapons systems and to save lives in the Middle East. They face charges of aggravated burglary, criminal damage and affray. If found guilty they could face long prison sentences.
This demonstration outside the Laganside Courts in Belfast, on Tues 27th May, was organised as a protest in support of the accused activists with people travelling from as far as Derry and Dublin, & messages of solidarity from around the world.

On 11 June 2008, by a unanimous verdict of the jury, the Raytheon 9 were found not guilty of three counts of criminal damage at the Raytheon offices, Derry Northern Ireland on 9 August 2006.
