@DCNY31279 You mean, you wish he were more foolish? If I were religious I would probably wish for the same thing.
I'm sure many prior comments have indicated the stupidity of Peter's statements, not the least of which being his comment on the difficulty of sailing if the magnetic north shifted, so I will save myself the time and encourage you to open a book, other than the bible.

Some great comments here! Basically religious people are all scared of themselves and what they're capable of. They NEED someone. even a mystical superbeing, to restrain them from doing something out of control.

When doesn't Peter realise when he says that there's a lot of things he would do if he didn't have religion to restrain his behaviour that he really doesn't understand morality at all? I would have loved to see Christopher's response to that. It just doesn't concord with reality. Atheists are not all amoral psychopaths. You are demonstrably and amazingly wrong. How can an intelligent person not see this? I'm really asking. What the hell is in his mind?

@theinquisitor i like your thinking & point! When religious people say, "oh if i wasn"t a believer i would do such & such!" shows they have a weak moral compass inspite of, not because of Religion.
