  • I like the vid. I have a quick random question. I am brand new to google sketchup and still learning. Whenever I try exporting one of my files to another program some of the textures or images become glitched. Is there any way to fix this? Please reply thanks.

  • there are a few things that may have caused those issues. first things i would check are: 1) are any of the faces inside-out? go to View > Face Style > Monochrome to check it out. orient faces properly before applying textures. white side = outside, blue side = inside. 2) did you apply textures to entire groups/components. groups and components should be colored with the default white/blue material. textures should be applied to individual faces within the groups/components.

  • there was a question here about finding the make faces plugin that accidentally got erased. sorry about that. here's your answer:

you can find the make faces plugin on the Smustard website or the Ruby Library Depot website (google it).

  • I have sketch up pro and i don't have half of the tools that u guys are using here.

this is craz . that's why i bought pro and now i just realized i don't have 50% of the things on there.

  • smustard and the ruby library depot are 2 of our favorite sites for finding more tools and plugins for SKP, which is why our toolbars have so many icons. you may also need to turn on some of your tools by going to your SketchUp Preferences pane > Extensions > and check on the tools. we've also customized our toolbar which you can do on a PC by going to View > Toolbars, or on a MAC by right-clicking on the toolbar and choosing the 'customize' option
