I think that you are really enlightened when you can unlock the door without using drugs. Moreover, I have known a lot of drug users and I don't see them as being enlightened or any smarter than anyone else. For example, look at the hippies who used drugs. Were they really enlightened? They were so naive as to believe in the concept of peace, while ignoring that humans have always been at war throughout history. What is enlightening about not being grounded in reality?

reiki is an oft overlooked path too. it's for more than just relaxation.

Actually, to correct that, Atheists hold the record for killing people. Hitler? Stalin? Mao? Alexander the Great? Napoleon? Genghis Khan? Drug dealers? Serial Killers? Maniacs? The list goes on and on non-religious people who kill, and NOT in the name of God. That is completely wrong to thing that religion holds the record for killing the most people.

Hmm... That's kind of odd... How did you come to start using entheogens and start going down this route? How did you come to the beliefs that you have now?

The mind is only a machine. The function of this machine is perception and awareness. When a psychedelic is introduced into the analogue machine it starts to do it's function at a separate level which some would call the cosmic state. These states might give the illusion of death although the machine is still aware. In reality, the awareness machine is operating differently
Once the awareness machine is gone, it is gone. It is no longer aware. Just like any other machine would do if it broke.

Actually, the natural (statistically speaking) state of man is delusional dualism. Enlightenment is really a quite unnatural state for humans. But I agree that enlightenment is unconditioned awareness.

Indeed. Humans have essentially two impulses, the spiritual and the religious. Sadly, history is a tale of the corruption of the former by the latter.
killing in the name of god is just as bad as killing for no reason

I personally was not a "religious" person until I started taking entheogens which showed me that there is so much more in this spirituality stuff than I used to think.
