I have started to replicate this circuit and it works very well! Can you make a vid on how to construct the receiver circuit?
Thanks...stprue

Pay attention to 1:40, he has a trigger coil on the receiver which is creating a "repeater" and the infamous "Current Magnifier".....

Hi boxa888.This is very simple and easy to do.These are my favourite type of experiment as they are not to complicated and quick and easy to replicate and most importantly, they are fun and i can and do spend hours playing with them as you find something new every time you play. Why don't you try it.Regards jonny

Hi chilliqueen.I think Your super joulethief circuit is going to be the base for a whole bunch of experiments. Thanks for sharing it with us.Regards jonny
Amazing we both used old JT to boost the Chilliqueent. Credits to Lidmotor for the 4kv trigger demo, and to xee2 for tweaking the circuit. Need to add Lidmotor's Lightning Maker. 4kv coil, I too am getting SEC, no pans, just touching the circuit makes things go bright and dim. Very strange, that when the battery is dead, I can touch the circuit and it will come back to life. Touching it , grounding it, raises the stay-alive threshold, JT-ish...

Hi.I think the mobile phone charger is a joulethief of some type but it is a very good one and i recomend trying one as it can supply varying amounts of power depending on the load and runs this circuit very well and very economicaly.Glad you too are having fun with this.Regards jonny.

You will like this one slayer and i think you could develop this a lot further. The base circuit is very interesting and highly modifyable.jonny
