Man, the space shuttle SUCKS compared to how cool it was in the 70's!

That is not Anthony Micheal Hall...The actor's name is Johnny Doran, a popular child actor of the 70's who was in other CBS shows like ISIS and Ark II. He also was in the controversial afterschool special "The Wave".

@korgri the space shuttle was a step backwards it lost money and never had a destination for it;s travel ,we had the space shutle for 30 years and never went back to ther moon.

"Too bad this show has not been rebroadast on "SyFy", or "Chiller" cable channel. 'Cause for nothing else, the near then and future all-star line-up. Indluded was veteran Sci-fi action TV star JARED MARTIN of "War of the Worlds", and now veteran TV and cinema director CARL FRANKLIN. Funny thing about 1970s pop\sex culture. The big afros, bell-bottoms, loopy kook scientology-like touchy feely crap. (Has anyone noticed how Jared Martin utilizes his tuning fork sound weapon close to his crotch? )"

@korgri I agree with you guy's 100% as well. The Saturn5's and saturn 1b were much more impressive, and lets not forget how many lives now that damn shuttle has cost for mearly going into orbit as an over glorified cargo vessel.

It doesn't matter how advanced spacecraft become, nothing is more pleasing to the eye than to see a Saturn V rocket majestically rise up into the sky.

LOL - shows how low the budget was, that the best they could do for a "space ship" was a model of the space shuttle. I thought it was surreal even back then!

it is not--it is Lance kerwin

dnt forget edward scissorhands as the assholeboyfriend lol xx
Having grown up watching Apollo-Saturn V's liftoff I couldn't understand what people saw in the shuttle. To me it seemed like trading in the Corvette for a Chevy Impala. Or that the Concords stops flying? Like giving out crusts of bread with a squirt of ketchup and calling it pizza.

we were a space race family, lived in houston, my dad was in mission control during the moon shots and i think he worked on the shuttle too. i was a huge fan of the shuttle as a boy but i agree with you, nothing could match the grandeur of an apollo launch.
