You have a point, but when there is more money being spent on lobbying than received in federal taxes, then it's obvious the people have less of a vote than the corporate "personships." @aintsuchnumber I understand everything. Money or no money, plenty of Americans support politicians who are all for such things. You can say they are brainwashed or mislead, but the bottom line is- they voted for this and they would again.

@aintsuchnumber There have been candidates in primaries and third party cadidates who are different. Americans never supported them. This is what people voted for.

@normalais it is fact that a lot of them did, but honestly the elections have been increasingly exercises in picking option 1a or 1b for decades. No politician, regardless of what they campaign on, really has change in mind; the system benefits them too much. So, I agree, many americans are too stupid to realize what their votes do in the long run, there are no good options, so voting is pretty futile to begin with. So, faced with no good answers, do they still deserve derision?
