Free Education for Everybody protested outside the Anglo Irish Bank in Galway on the 29th of November against the rising cost of education and the bailing out of the banks. We were approached by a friendly member of An Garda Siochana who made some general enquiries and continued to watch from a distance.

  • @nibnibnib100 These people were out protesting for "Free Education" if they were a "shower of smelly freeloading spastics" only interested in the dole, I'm sure their banners would state "increase dole" etc... These people are out fighting for something so precious, that it should be free for all. "Education free's the enslaved" they can justify pumping billions into the banks and increasing education fee's to do so! Oh and I'm a member of the Garda! don't be so prejudicial!

  • That Sgt, For President.

  • Some shower of smelly freeloading spastics! Id imagine this protest wasn't held on a Wednesday beacuse the crusty's would be off claiming the social welfare, bunch of fucking fools with nothing else to do.

  • Fair play to the Guard but fair play to yourselves too. Respect should be mutual and ye were clearly polite and friendly to him too.

  • is that Luke 'Ming' Flanaganon the loudspeaker?

  • Guy with megaphone sounds like The Viper!

  • Top class policing by that Garda there! A lot of them could have asked them to move on!

  • Fair play to the guard and to ye. Ye clearly had the support of all the passersby and showed that do make ye're feelings known ye dont need to be aggressive like the thugs who hijacked the protest in dublin.
