  • Brilliant stuff. I'm a skydiver and I need/want to start this type of sport. how and where do i get trained up? any where in the uk?

  • Hi airbornetom84, glad you like my speedflying/ground launching vids. To answer your question there is no place you can learn speedflying here in the UK. You will have to either self teach or find someone already flying and see if they will take you under their wing. That may be hard as there are very few active pilots here in the UK.

  • Its also like BASE in that its not something you can really learn from scratch, you need to come into it either from skydiving or paragliding with plenty of previous experience. You dont want to be learning how to canopy fly this close to the ground. Where you from? PM me if you want more info. laters....

  • awesome video.

Im currently in the process of ordering a nano ( need something that glides better than my heatwave ) and i would be very intersted to find out what size nano you were using in these videos as well as your weight, if you dont mind sharing.. Cheers , loved the tree flying. here in new zealand the groundlauch community is organising a ten day 'boogie' in queenstown in december. Check out NZ Groundlauch group on facebook if your interested.

  • Hi Joe, I've relatives living in the next village to the location seen on the first part of the vid. One of their friends, Steve has the nearest house to the ridge and on the last trip I took him up for his first flight (On G-BZJI) he got almost 90 mins on the Dual Controls before we had to land at sundown.

By the way landing is not permited on the 'raised beach' (It's a SSSI) so no chance for landing a bit high to save the walk, as you need to land on the sand!

  • woohoo watch them trees ! fast and fun

  • Excellent vid Dan. Now start walking back up lol. Scotts right you must be knackered or really fit.

  • that last bit looks flippin mad !
