Recortes Aldeanueva 2008 "El Caleco"

Se denomina recortador al torero que con la única ayuda de su cuerpo o con algún artilugio simple como puede ser un palo a modo de pértiga (garrocha) realizan con pericia piruetas ante el embiste del toro, novillo o vaquilla como son recortes, saltos por encima o quiebros laterales ajustándose a la cintura los pitones de toros. Se realiza sin capa o ésta liada al brazo.

Este tipo de toreo que se presenta como un espectáculo es una tradición centenaria que tiene como origen en España que empezó con las primeras tauromaquias y se realiza en festejos populares en calles o plazas de toros, también existen concursos para denominar al mejor recortador. Es necesario mucha habilidad para realizar este prodigio de valor, forma física y deportividad.

Aquí en Aldeanueva de Ebro nuestro campeón le llaman El Caleco. Jose-Maria Garcia Perez es su nombre, su passion los toros y las vacillas. Son una parte importante de su vida. Que la tenga larga y feliz!

We call recortador, the bullfighter that with the sole help of his body or a simple stick (garrocha) performs skilled stunts before the charging bull, steer or cow such as cuts, jumps over or lateral jumps.

This type of bullfighting, which is presented as a show is a centuries-old tradition that has its roots in Spain. It began in popular celebrations in streets or places of bullfights, there are also contests to name the best recortador. You need to be quite skillful to perform this activity that demands physical fitness and sportsmanship.

Here in Aldeanueva de Ebro our champion is El Caleco. His real name, Jose-Maria Garcia Perez, his passion bulls and cows. They make up an important part of his life. May it be long and joyful.

On le nomme recortador, le torero qui, à la seule aide de son corps ou d'un simple bâton (garrocha) effectue des cascades , des sauts en hauteur ou latéraux devant la charge du taureau ou dans certains cas la vache.

Ce type de tauromachie, qui est présenté comme un spectacle est une tradition qui a ses racines en Espagne. Il a vu ses débuts dans des célébrations populaires dans les rues ou les lieux de corridas. Il y a aussi des concours pour le meilleur recortador. Vous devez être assez habile pour effectuer cette activité qui exige une forme physique et l'esprit sportif.

Ici dans le village d'Aldeanueva de Ebro, notre champion c'est El Caleco. Son véritable nom, Jose-Maria Garcia Perez. Sa passion, les taureaux et les vaches. Ils sont une part importante de sa vie. Puisse-t-elle être longue et heureuse.

Well if I had to answer I guess it was because in the time of my life when I was the most 'self-centered' I encountered children suffering right within my reach it had a profound effect on me. I'm sure it could have been anything at the time(wounded dog, baby calf, etc..) Children were the first ones to open my eyes is all. If a bullfighters skills could be put elsewhere it wouldn't be a problem but the transition is what troubles me.

You do make me smile thought sometimes with certain comments of yours, such as in: "My apology was sincere since I didn't know your actual age"....hahahha had you known my real age your apologies would not have been as sincere? I can appreciate what you are saying about having seen things in the army, but if one cherishes human life it doesn not prevent them from cheriching any tyope of life does it? You see I'm 22 years old so I'm not perfect just a tad hot-headed. When someone wants someone to die or insult me I immediately find words to assault them. My apology was sincere since I didn't know your acutal age. My deducations were what I really thought so again I apologize. Since I'm young I've seen some things while in the Navy that made me cherish human life.

Thank you for your comments, they are quite astute....but you have the wrong number, see this video is not about bullfighting, so why don't you take a hike and perhaps you will see some wild animal in Africa while visiting your close cousins the baboons.....no hard feelings, hope the baboons won't hold this against me.....:)
