I remember watching "Campaign", a documentary about elections in japan. all the candidates made speeches about pretty vague plans, like "with your vote soon all the eldery people will have a better life" or "I want more chances for housewives!". this guy also spoke and sang to the (annoyed) crowd and promised his "new" invention would change the whole japanese politics. and he wore a suit with black and white stripes. :)
