...the missing marbles,that were made by modern sculptors and only by the original kind of marble that is found only in Penteli.They chose the 3rd one,because the 1rst choice was impossible,as we do not have any information about the wood that the roof was made of and some other parts of the temple and the 2nd choice would have a very poor result and of course some parts probably could not be able to be recombined with others,as missing marbles would cause problems.

Hello, I’m from Greece.A few years ago,when I was in a field trip to the Acropolis,a docent told us that there were 3 options for the people of the erection program of the Parthenon.They could completely rebuild the Parthenon as it was at the time of Pericles,they could put back only the marbles that were found near the rock and the monument and lastly they could rebuild only the (about) 70% of the monument, by putting back all the pieces found anywhere and placing between them...
