  • "Thar she be!" lol Loved the song:D

This is such a cool cake! You did a very good job. I liked the whole thing:) Do you ever worry about the weight on top with all the decorations? Thanks:)

  • I'm not sure what decorations you think are heavy... the masts & sails are on dowels which go all the way through the cake down to the board beneath it. They are what's holding the cake up. As for the hat, the spyglass and the cutlass, they were fully dry before I added them to the cake. Gumpaste or fondant figures don't sink into the cake if they're dry; especially if you're cake is properly chilled & supported.

  • How cute!!! Love all the little details - especially the feather & treasure chest. Oh & the music & extras at the end. Hope you got some rest since then. I guess I'm not the only one that goes all night on a cake till the wee hours of the morning : )

  • i did rest...i managed to miss the entire day sleeping, LoL. it just makes SENSE to go all night, especially when it's being picked up; the newer it is, the fresher it is!

  • Oh this is so beautiful. I dont think I got an update from youtue when u ulpoaded this video. Strange....anyways... love the details on the map...it looks so much like a real ancient map...in terms of color and texture. Love the masts and the logo. The cake looks amazing.

  • Wow that's just incredible!! I love it! Very very creative :D

  • Ok. I guess I just read it wrong. Glad you're not offended or anything:) I was nervous about trying to have a channel on YouTube. I thought, gosh, I've stepped in it already! lol

    Thank you for answering:)

  • What a cool cake! That was a lot of work:)

Is the map fondant? All one piece? Did you carve and cover the cake and then set it on the map?

    Thanks:)

  • In the future, my comments will only contain compliments. And I won't make another comment unless it is intelligent, clearly stated and directly related to the specific item in the video. Again, I am sorry.

  • I'm sorry. I meant decorations in general. Because, obviously, the weight of the decorations on this cake is clearly not an issue.

You're right it was a stupid question to ask about this cake. It should have been a question, perhaps better added to your channel page, with more clarification and qualified by some things I do know. A comment totally separate from this cake.
