"The Panic" is also one of my older songs. The music parts sat finished for about 5 years then in 2006 I finished the vocals and decided to see how people react to my sound. I put together the music using the MTV Music Generator (Jester Interactive) on my Play Station! It's about a young man who ruins his life by living too hard and too fast. For vocal equipment, I use an Oktava MK-219 solid state, large diaphram condenser mic through a Behringer Ultra Voice VX2000. I record on my PC using Cool Edit Pro 2.0.
Lyrics for "The Panic" by Lance Campeau
Johnny lives hard every day, breaking laws in everyway
doing drugs in dirty bars, pimping girls in stolen cars
feelin like a criminal, motions are subliminal
things will never be the same
woo hoo
now he's out of chances
woo hoo
burned up all his bridges now and
woo hoo
he's has let down defences
woo hoo
the panic took over
taking time to look around, uncertain future shaky ground
knowing now he's gone too far, we all knew he'd go too far
constant moving every day, different roads and different ways
but eyes are watching everywhere
wondering if anything, can ever bring this train to a stop
cashing in on every sin will punished him before he must drop
woo hoo
now he's out of chances
woo hoo
burned up all his bridges now and
woo hoo
he's has let down defences
woo hoo
the panic took over
changing faces, different places, doing lines and wasting time
didn't wanna be the one to go out burning on the run
but to people it doesn't matter what happens here, GO!
the games, the lies, the thrills, the kills, the cash, the hash, the drinks, the pills
the streets, the cops, the scores, the whores, the life, the look, it's over now
driving fast to leave this town, the chase is quick can they bring him down
sorry now for what he's done, all alone he pulls a gun
woo hoo
now he's out of chances
woo hoo
burned up all his bridges now and
woo hoo
he's has let down defences
woo hoo
the panic took over
his life was spinning quickly down the hole
the cost of living hard without control
johnny paid the price he'll never learn
if you like to play the game you will get burned
