He was a legend with Blockbusters. If ever a host and a program were made for one another, you won't find a better example. He had such a rare positive and encouraging attitude with the contestants.
I hope that Blockbusters will find its feet again with Simon Mayo on Challenge, but it will always be Bob's show at heart. Irreplaceable.

It's a sad day for poor old Bob Holness to die in 2012. :'( He was such a very nice and kind man. Everyone was right. He was born in 1928 and died 2012. We will miss that man.

I don't remember Blockbusters being on ITV1. I will always remember it being on Southern, Sky One, BBC Two and Challenge, but never ITV1.
It would have been better if mark Mark Austin and Julie Etchingham both did the hand jive at the end. It's what Holness would have wanted.
