The Jones Act has a cabotage law that protects U.S. made vessels, U.S. flagged vessels and, most importantly, U.S. manned vessels. Help protect the jobs of American seaman and fill out an online letter to your Congressman, Senator, President Obama and the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard. • If we waive the Jones Act, we might as well expect oil spills to be a regular occurance.

As for "mobsters" in the American maritime, that's funny. The folks who own ships have more money and guns than Sacco and his crew of dumb thugs could ever hope to aquire.

  • BHO is a puppet for the Unions unless they pay the mobster Union's it's not going to be waived

  • If the Jones Act is waived, perhaps the foreign vessels looking to help with the oil spill can do so ... apparently, they cannot, and sit at sea. Perhaps Obama can issue a waiver in this case as Bush did in '05 for Katrina. It's been 50+ days ... still waiting.
