@MsBkirk, it's that anemic recreation from "Television's Greatest Hits Vol. 1".
-
Wrong music for Ironside - sounds like a cheap version you'd hear in Superdrug!
-
I've often thought the original Prisoner opening titles were an influence on the ones for Andrew Marr's political show on a Sunday morning!

Horrible editing job and crap audio. Jesus, just show the opens and let them fade out, why don't ya?
-
Coronet Bleu...starring Bill Clinton.

Two comments:
1) The original "The Prisoner" was much cooler are far more surreal than last years redo that was a miniseries on AMC. You can still catch it once in a while on BBC America and IFC cable channel.
2) A reimagining of both "Ironside" and "The Invaders" would be cool (what David Vincent could of done if he had a iPhone and twitter).
Thanks for the walk down memory lane. :-)

The Mannix starting is from the final 1974/5 season, which had Mannix running in silhouette towards the camera.

In the "Carol Burnett Show" clip, was Vicki Lawrence the one in the striped dress?

The Prisoner was syndicated here, jsilence. I ran across the show in the 80s and loved it. I'm NOT a number! LOL

Actually, alleycat, The Prisoner was a summer replacement for The Jackie Gleason Show on Saturday nights on the CBS Television Network in 1968... it was like nothing else on TV at the time, and the response to it was so strong that CBS re-ran the series as Gleason's summer replacement the following year in 1969...

Thanks BB, I'll add that to my info on the show. The research I did said it was broadcast in Canada and didn't have any US station associated with it.
