my mom always makes a big pot of soup either with some beef or chicken...and i loveee dumplings...and okra and carrots and sweet potatoe in the soup ugghh i want some now...but yeah..My family is from Trinidad& tobago

Haaa, the 'Bajans' are so much more 'British' than us Jamaicans. Our Jamaican chicken soup....which EVERY household serves on a Saturday....lol...is a lot more yellow and thicker from the pumpkins used. Chicken soup is a favourite lunch food with yams, potatoes(regular and sweet) and of course dumplings.
