the Blues music is not a matter of color now... but yes...long ago It do was, no doubt. Black slaves created the Blues... Black free slaves extended the Blues ... and over the years White people learned to love the Blues , but it took a long time.

So anybody who is white isn't a real blues musician? Music isn't based on skin color, it's about talent and emotion. SRV, like him or not, was a fantastic guitar player, one of the greatest who ever lived. Musicians black and white can respect him. Whites and blacks played together in juke joints in the rural south, one of the few places they could escape segregation. The blues is a human emotion, and developed jointly from African and European influences. it's not about color. never was.
