I just bought a 1977 Olds 442 Cutlass, with a 1971 455 engine in it. Im curious, what liter is this and how much horsepower does it put out?

@drummerboyLK 7.5 liters and they produce between 250-340hp that year.. depends on what car it came out of, if its a 2 or 4 barrel carb and dual exhaust..

hey man thanks for the info..I change the plugs , oil filter and am gonna try starting it up soon.. I need a battery thats all...I will let you know how it goes.. thnx.. and for the dumb fools out there, aint nothing wrong starting a motor without water in it.. theese big blocks can handle it for a little while.. it aint one of those rice racers motors.. this is the big boys.. 455...

@beeterolds hey buddy I have a olds 455 been sitting in my garage for about 2 years..I took it out of a running delta 88. I need to start it on the ground and make sure it is still running before I put it on my project which am about to do soon. Can you guide me through on how you started the motor on the ground..
