  • most of Irish players are from australia, Southafrica and new zealand along side with some Irish.

  • so.... there's a bit of irish in almost everyone.

their choice was probably to get a chance to play just one odi for those countries you mentioned or play in two super eights with cracking support behind them. they made the right choice.

  • Ireland is my favourite team to watch man!!! They have incredible spirit!!!!

  • @conor0strich next problem is the future world cup being brought back to 10 teams now.As far as i know as Ireland only had 6 ODIs since the last world cup which is a farce in all honesty.I think after this world cup alot of the players like Dockrell would like to continue playing for Ireland and not chance their arm with England. They can now see the potential but if ireland arent allowed in the next world cup where do we go from here.Ed is delighted to be back and Eoin Morgan isnt sure now

  • @kootar25 you're pathetic! Accept it! WE ARE AWESOME!

In the case of our south africans and our aussies, they're all living and working in Ireland, most of them are married to Irish women and for all intents and purposes consider themselves Irish. That law has been more of a hindrance to Irish cricket, with Ed Joyce representing England in 2007 and now Morgan
