Painting Lesson Preview - Making Marks

The Painting Studio returns with award-winning artist Peggi Kroll Roberts. Each new lesson is filmed in her artist's studio, a real artists studio with props, paintings, supplies, and pets. Painting from the model or still life, shots cut from the artist to her subject, palette and the canvas. The program is a personality driven, nuts and bolts how-to-paint program. Peggi's unique approach brings a contemporary touch to traditional painting programming and adds to the first six video lessons.

Making Marks is all about creating a painting without a preliminary drawing. The student is forced see their subject matter in masses and shapes. This technique is good for approaching unfamiliar subject matter.
